Lori Mancini

Hi there my name is Lori Mancini... and here is a little about ME.

I am a self proclaimed “Scatter Brained Blonde"... who loves scrapping, being inspired, and the lazy days of summer. I am an ordinary mom trying to make an extraordinary life out of the mundane.

I am a simple girl who loves Strawberry Daiquiries, Starbucks Pretzels, and reading blogs by the hour. I enjoy bike riding in the summer, laying by the pool, and cheering my kids on in whatever it is they're doing. In the winter you will find me hibernating in my scrap room with fuzzy slippers and a cup of tea, or camped out in front of the TV watching The Biggest Loser, 24 or As The World Turns.

I've been creating even before I started scrapbooking and the first scrapbooking home party I went to I thought it was the silliest hobby ever!! My mind was changed though after I realized that you didn't have to cut your photo's into stars or hearts and that really there were no rules (I think the hostess enjoyed the power ;)) You can do whatever you want... and that is what I love that about this hobby! The scrapbooking bug bit me about 9 years ago and it really turned into my passion about 6 years ago...yup after my kids had grown up and out of the cute baby photo taking stage!

At any given moment I might be... at work either freezing or boiling in our Custom Kitchen Cabinet Company, hanging out at the local LSS, or chauffering my kids to one activity or another. When Im busy with any of these, you will find me either shopping, taking pictures, at the baseball field, shopping, doing laundry, cleaning, at the football field, shopping, lying in the pool, bike riding, blog surfing, creating, purging, more laundry...did I mention shopping?

I am a mother of 2 sons and a wife of 20 years (no Im not that old!). I have been with my high school sweetheart now for 25 years and he is still my best friend in the world who makes me laugh everyday. Im a daughter, a friend to many, a good listener, a better talker, a graphic person, a detail fanatic, a party planning guru, and a girl who will always be 19 in my eyes.

My favourite colour is Purple, my favourite season is summer, my favourite meal is Surf and Turf. I am a Weight Watchers member, I am still 10 lbs overweight, If only I could loose the weight by reading HOW TO - I would look like Twiggy. I was a gymnast for 17 years but now I will throw out my back if I sneeze incorrectly. I love having fun and I love to entertain even more. My dream is to have a huge party in my backyard with a live band...wanna come? I am addicted to my iMac, I take more photo's than I will ever use, and I love to be creative. I am overwhelmed with ideas and inspiration, and am always jumping for one project to the next.

I am a scrapbooker, a blogger, and just a regular old girl trying to document the ups and downs of life, my creative journey, and things that inspire me. It is documented here for me to remember...cause Alzheimer's runs in my family (at least I think it does)... all mixed in with a heaping spoonfull of everyday life and a pinch of humour.
