...over at my Scrapbook Nook!! Wow... I am in serious love with this months kit. Crate Paper has completely hit the nail bang on with this collection. It is absolutely gor-ge-ous!!! If you haven't seen it IRL I urge you to head on over to My Scrapbook Nook NOW and get one while they still have some - I've completed two layouts so far and still have enough for at least more - it is one of my favourite lines that I have worked with recently...
Look at what my fellow teammates have been cranking out with this kit..we were featured over on the Crate Blog today... I didn't have my layouts loaded yet because of the shipping delay to Canada with my kit - but I don't think I could compete with all of this goodness anyways...another reason why I am still blown away to be a member of this team!! Anyways - you can see the Crate Paper blog write up HERE!
This is what I have done so far with this months kit...don't know why but I couldn't get it to photograph very well...hmmmm must sort that out soon.... the skin tones are all off...but anyways I love them just the same.
First is a photo of DH with his niece...
WIND ME UP
and of course my close up shots!
And here is my second layout - which I just love...not because of how it looks but it touches my heart and I put more into this one than I usually do. Those lovely people are my parents and I just took this photo a few weeks ago at my Dads 80th birthday party. I knew right away I wanted to scrap it and who I wanted to document my feelings. I love the "quilted" look and it is part of my Inspiration Challenge over at My Scrapbook Nook. If you would like to participate you can view the challenge here.
I pulled out my embossing folders for this one for added texture and lots of sewing gives it the "homey" feel I was going for. Took a bit longer than normally but I am so happy with the result...its a little different than my normal style - but still me - whatcha think?
WHERE DID THE TIME GO?
Journalling on this one reads:
"It seems like yesterday that you were driving me to gymnastics, sewing one thing or another for me and I was still your baby girl. Time has gone too fast. So much has changed. One day I looked and it hit me. Time does not stand still. When I was busy raising my family you both became older than I want you to be. Your little girl can't imagine life without either of you..."
Well I have some more to catch up on! The entire house to myself this evening so Im playing catch up and doing some scrapping!!
I also realized that I haven't posted my winner yet for my RAK so I will be back in a bit and do that later tonight!
Have a great Friday Evening!

I love that scallop-y border thing on the first layout
