I don't think I have posted this yet...but I have some new toys that are keeping me busy and my mind active (or should I say my finger active!)
Back in the spring - undoubtadley you remember my overabundance of sports comittments. Well since Jared was playing on 2 football teams (now only one) I was so discouraged with my shots I was taking of the team. Yes...I forgot to mention I am the official team photographer. So I somehow managed to get my wonderful husband to spring for this -
Yup that baby is all mine and it comes out two to three times a week to shoot practices and full shooting of games. All I can say is - Im in LOVE!!!
So with having so much time to play around with my new lens this summer and fall - I have to admit I am really getting the hang of this photography stuff. Look at me shooting on full Manual!! Who would have ever thunk!! Certainly not me....but don't get me wrong I still have a long way to go.
My journey into understanding my camera and learning all the controls down to a fine science was cut short when my camera (Cannon Rebel XTi) started acting up and doing some funny stuff a while ago.
My camera would just shut off in the middle of shooting and there were a few other things going on that were not making me happy - so instead of paying my good ole friends at Cannon $150.00 an hour to see what was wrong I decided to trade the baby in and upgrade.
So along with my new lens is this:
It is quite an upgrade from my first Rebel - and I am really enjoying the features and the new challenges it is giving me. I do now that the football parents absolutely love the photo's that this baby takes at 6fps I can take up to 600 photo's easily in one game. The editing is killing me though LOL!!
We have one more game left of regular season and then Jared is playing in the All Star game which is made up of the top players from each team - should be a fun game - and an excellent photo opportunity for me.
I am doing up a DVD for all of the kids for the end of year party with all of my shots and will make sure I post it once I get it all done.
Have yourself a great week and be safe...
Are you ready for Halloween yet...ACK!! I haven't even thought of that - its number one on my agenda this week!
